Tajikistan is one of the countries least responsible for causing climate change. It ranks around 109th in the world for all greenhouse gas emissions and 129th in emissions per person.
Despite this, the people of Tajikistan are already experiencing the impacts of climate change. More frequent droughts and heightened extreme weather conditions are hitting poor communities and eroding their resilience.

Four years and 17 billion dollars have been spent since the Afghanistan Compact was signed and Afghanistan is still one of the poorest places on Earth. While international support is appreciated, it has not been doing a good enough job helping Afghans improve their lives and meet their basic needs.
