Millions of poor people across the globe are facing the prospect of a swine flu pandemic without access to potentially life-saving healthcare.

Since 1998, an estimated 5.4 million people have lost their lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The current escalation of fighting is the worst it has been in years. Oxfam aims to reach around 230,000 people affected by this new crisis with clean water, sanitation services and protection support.
