Oxfam is urgently trying to reach 500,000 people affected by typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Our priority is to reach the most vulnerable families with safe water and sanitation facilities to help protect people from public health risks. Please donate to support our relief and recovery efforts.
On 8 November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, affecting about 14 million people. 4 million people were left homeless. There was a strong emergency response inititally, but we are concerned that long-term recovery is not happening fast enough for the poorest people.
Oxfam Humanitarian Haiti Earthquake Appeal now closed, due to the over-whelming generosity of the public worldwide.
