Climate change will cripple the ASEAN goal of economic integration by 2015. A-FAB, ASEAN for a Fair, Ambitious and Binding Climate Deal, a regional coalition composed of Greenpeace, Oxfam and WWF, calls upon leaders of Association of Southeast Asian Nations to take a higher ground in the latest rounds of UN climate negotiations that began in Bangkok today.

Oxfam called for additional funding for the 2008 Cyclone Nargis survivors in Myanmar today, saying the upcoming monsoon season is posing a serious threat to their recovery with shelter still a pressing need and agriculture at risk.
