MEPs to vote on transparency of multinationals

The European Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) will adopt its official position on the reform of the EU Accounting Directive introducing non-financial reporting requirements (ie. human right, social and environment aspects) for big multinationals. MEPs are also likely to vote in favour of country-by-country reporting standards. Oxfam believes these are key steps in the fight against tax dodging.
