Oxfam is honored to be able to call His Grace Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu an Oxfam Ambassador.
Since 2003 he has been a passionate supporter of the Control Arms Campaign and has written many lobbying and media letters on behalf of the Campaign which calls for an international Arms Trade Treaty and greater protection for civilians caught in conflict situations.
His Grace also kick started the Make Poverty History/ ONE and GCAP Campaign with a compelling piece about poverty and what we should do to unite as a global force. This campaign bought together millions of people in 2005 and has gone from strength to strength in unifying NGOs, civil societies, churches and public throughout the world.
Archbishop Tutu remains one of the great inspirations of our time.
