Academy Award nominated Actor Djimon Hounsou has been an Oxfam Ambassador since 2005 when he first travelled with Oxfam to Mali to learn about the cotton sector in West Africa, and he continues to support Oxfam's work in the US on the Farm Bill legislation in 2007.

Djimon has since become an impactful advocate for Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign as well as the ONE campaign in the United States. Djimon traveled on behalf of Oxfam to the G8 summit in Gleneagles Scotland to lobby world leaders on trade, aid and debt relief.

He has also visited and lobbied Congressional Black Caucus member's in Washington, DC to discuss issues of trade and aid with Africa. Djimon will continue to be a major supporter of Oxfam's work in the United States on the impending Farm Bill legislation in 2007.
