Honorary President of Oxfam International
The role of Honorary President is currently not filled.
Mary Robinson served as Oxfam's honorary president from 2002 until she stepped down in 2012.
During her tenure, Mary Robinson, who had been President of Ireland and a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, travelled to many countries with Oxfam and was an indefatigable champion of Oxfam's work to understand and address the complex causes of poverty.
She took a particular interest in our work on inequality and on the impact of climate change on poor people.
Oxfam remains grateful for her enormous support and continuing influence.
