Jim Kerr and Martha Wainwright have re-invented the iconic 80s hit Promised You A Miracle, to call on world leaders to keep the promises they have made on overseas aid and save the lives of mothers in poor countries.

On the 24th and 25th of June, the G8 leaders will meet in Canada. These powerful nations must keep their promises, and act now to get the Millennium Development Goals back on track.

A group of powerful women from the front-line in the fight against poverty have appealed to European leaders to ensure health and education for all people by rescuing the Millennium Development Goals.

As world leaders meet in New York at a special Summit on poverty, aid agency Oxfam slammed the lack of urgency by the international community in tackling the ongoing food crisis now affecting close to one billion people.
