Typhoon Haiyan hygiene and water kit distibution - photos
Super typhoon Haiyan (locally Yolanda) was one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded. An estimated 13 million people have been affected and some 3.5 million displaced.
Oxfam is urgently trying to reach 500,000 people affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Our priority is to reach the most vulnerable families with safe water and sanitation facilities.
Our rapid assessment teams have begun delivery of emergency water and sanitation in the most affected regions. In the first three weeks, we reached over 185,000 people with emergency relief.
Here's a look at how we've reached some 26,500 people in weeks two and three of our response, with distribution of hygiene and water kits in Leyte and Cebu.
