Los líderes del G8 prometieron reducir la pobreza a la mitad para el 2015 y priorizar las necesidades de la gente con menos recursos. Faltan solo 4 años para la fecha y aún están lejos de cumplirse. Oxfam pide al G8 que se ponga las pilas e invierta ya en la reducción del hambre, la salud y la educación y la adopción de medidas para impedir que las empresas ricas no paguen impuestos en los países pobres.

18 May, 2012, 20:00 BSTEarly this morning as high-level guests arrived at the Reagan Building for US President Barack Obama's keynote speech at the Chicago Council Symposium, there were distractions of every kind to be found. Vibrant chants from large groups of protesters lined the streets. But perhaps the most important messages of the day were those that were not quite so loud.
