Seminar “The future of aid and development effectiveness”

Oxfam EU Office is co-organising with Eurodad and CNCD-11.11.11 a public seminar on “the future of aid and development effectiveness” at the International Association Centre. One year after the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness held in Busan, where previous commitments on aid effectiveness were reaffirmed, no clear framework for effective and responsible development finance, which effectively addresses the future of aid including new aid modalities and the growing role of the private sector, has been created. The objective of this event is to debate these emerging issues with a panel discussion on the role of the private sector in the post-Busan agenda and the launch of the Eurodad report on results-based approaches: “Hitting the Target? Evaluating the Effectiveness of Results-based Approaches to Aid.”
