EU Environment Ministers’ meeting

On the agenda for discussion is the proposal for a Monitoring Mechanism Regulation to agree on a common reporting format for greenhouse gas emissions and climate finance. Despite very strong calls for greater common accounting from the European Parliament and the Commission, Member States are expected to be reluctant to agree on the proposal on the table.
