European Parliament vote in plenary on their expectations for Europe’s position at the UN climate talks in Doha

At the end of this month, world governments will meet in Doha, Qatar, for the UN Climate Change Conference, to firm up the outcomes of the Durban conference held in 2011.Oxfam hopes that Members of the European Parliament vote for the EU to adopt a strong position at the Doha talks, and that they are ready to push for commitments to scale up climate finance, which would help the poorest countries to adapt and cope with the adverse effects of climate change.
