To open our emergency intervention at Bokolmayo displaced people's camp, we're looking to fill the following positions:
Field Manager (Ref. 137/08_09)
Reporting to the Emergency Manager, the selected person will be the reference and the representative of the Organization in the field, coordinating the activities of the project and managing all the resources in order to guarantee that the objectives are met in line with the Humanitarian Action principles, policies and strategies of Intermón Oxfam (IO).
Administration/Finance Officer (Ref. 138/08_09)
Reporting hierarchically to the Field Manager and functionally to the Finance & Administration Manager, the selected person will support the humanitarian operations through activities related to administration, finance and staff management on the field.
Watsan Officer (Ref. 139/08_09)
Reporting hierarchically to the Field Manager, his/her duties are to define, implement and supervise the Water and Sanitation activities for Intermon Oxfam's projects, and to manage the technical team as well as the material and financial resources related to the Watsan activities, therefore providing access to water in sufficient quantity and quality, and any other sanitation infrastructure (such as latrines).
PHP Officer (Ref. 140/08_09)
Reporting hierarchically to the Field Manager, his/her duties are to define, implement and supervise all IO activities related to health & hygiene promotion through community participation. He/she will also manage the PHP team as well as the related material and financial resources necessary for the implementation of the relevant activities.
Logistics Officer (Ref. 141/08_09)
Reporting hierarchically to the Field Manager, his/her duties are to implement the logistic activities for the project/s, mainly to supply the different teams involved in the emergency with all the necessary materials and equipment and to ensure their good maintenance. He/she will also manage all the security issues.
Skills and Competencies
For all the above positions we require:
- A minimum experience of 2 years in a similar position in Humanitarian Programmes. Experience of emergency programmes is indispensable.
- Languages: Proficient in English.
- Results-orientated and organizational capacity.
- Team work and collaboration.
- Immediate availability for a minimum of 6 months.
Terms and Conditions
Contract of employment: Contract of 6 months.
Salary: According to the Intermón Oxfam's country salary scale.
Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance and childrens' benefit.
Holidays: 28 working days per year.
R & R: in Addis.
Location: Bokolmayo's camp near Dollo Ado (Ethiopia).
Non accompanied post.
Start date: Immediate.
