Today (7th November), Kinshasa One Two an album by DRC music released under WARP records will be available to buy online at www.oxfam.org.uk/drcalbum, and from selected Oxfam shops across the UK, with all profits going towards Oxfam’s work in the Congo.

The widely lauded bipartisan May 2010 law that made way for President Obama’s recent decision to send troops to fight the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) must be fully enacted to include the promised full range of non-military strategies to demobilize the LRA, protect civilians and develop the region.

A collective of producers led by Damon Albarn recently visited the Democratic Republic of Congo to produce a new album for Oxfam – in five days. Proceeds from the DRC Music album will help Oxfam support thousands of the DRC's poorest people.

On October 17, 2010, 20,000 women and men participated in a march in Bukavu to demand economic and social changes, demilitarization and the end of rape as a weapon of war. Oxfam and our partners joined women who travelled from 41 countries to attend the march.
