Oxfam is working in earthquake-affected areas of Haiti to provide clean water and sanitation as a means to prevent serious outbreaks of disease.
- Oxfam is providing 79 million gallons of clean water to earthquake survivors each month.
- We've built 2,500 latrines and 1,032 bathing stalls, which the camp residents and local people maintain.
- We've distributed soap, toothbrushes and sanitary pads, and towels to 120,000 people living in temporary camps.
Oxfam is extending these services to hundreds of thousands more at risk of cholera.
