From June 16th – 23rd, Oxfam along with friends and allies took part in the Global Week of Action for Tax Justice. The global scandal of tax dodging robs countries around the world of billions in tax revenues. This revenue could fund free quality public services, including healthcare and education, which are vital to fight poverty and inequality.
The week came ahead of a crucial meeting in mid July when governments will gather in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to decide how to finance the fight against climate change, poverty, inequality. This is an historic opportunity to reshape the global tax system.
