Sustainable agriculture – agriculture that can meet the needs of present and future generations, ensures the efficient production of safe, high-quality agricultural products in a way that protects the natural environment, and improves on the economic conditions of farmers and local communities – offers the best chances for countries belonging to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to deal with climate change.

2 million voices support African agriculture

As African Union's Heads of State meet in Malabo to discuss agriculture and food security in Africa, more than two million African citizens have called on their leaders to "Invest in our farmers, our food and our futures," and make progress on the Maputo Declaration. 

Bahati Muriga Jacob: Female Food Hero 2014

Bahati Muriga is the new Female Food Hero in Tanzania. She won the first prize of the 4th edition of a national reality TV style competition which raises awareness in Tanzania of the many incredible achievements of its women food producers.
