A desperate and largely unknown humanitarian crisis is deteriorating in the Lake Chad Basin region of West Africa, forcing millions of people to flee their homes and leaving millions more in need of humanitarian assistance. Oxfam is providing life-saving support but help is urgently needed to prevent the crisis turning into a catastrophe.
People around the world are marking the third anniversary of the Syria crisis with candle-lit vigils.
To date, 9 million Syrians people have been forced to flee their homes and find shelter away from the devastating violence, including as refugees in neighboring countries. We need to show leaders that the world still cares about Syria and call for an end to the bloodshed. Syrians cannot endure another year of suffering. Too many lives have been stolen, too many homes destroyed.
After 3 years of failure to adequately respond by world leaders, we will not give up on Syria. We’re asking you to show your support for the millions of Syrian children, women and men who are living through this unprecedented humanitarian crisis by standing #WithSyria.

Oxfam staff have seen first-hand the impact of the war from our work within Syria and with refugees and host communities in the surrounding countries. Let’s stand together to help make this the last year marked with bloodshed. We must stand #WithSyria.
