On Saturday April 16, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador killing hundreds of people, leaving thousands wounded and causing severe damage to infrastructure. Access to safe drinking water and storage, as well as shelter is urgently needed. With your help we can reach the most vulnerable populations with vital assistance.
Oxfam is in a race against time to hand out thousands of winter kits to families still homeless from Pakistan's summer floods – already a challenge as the deluge wrecked roads and bridges. It will get worse when many communities are cut off by blizzards.
Employed in Oxfam's cash-for-work program, people who have lost their source of income in the floods now produce quilts and clothing for the winter kits.
