A desperate and largely unknown humanitarian crisis is deteriorating in the Lake Chad Basin region of West Africa, forcing millions of people to flee their homes and leaving millions more in need of humanitarian assistance. Oxfam is providing life-saving support but help is urgently needed to prevent the crisis turning into a catastrophe.
We have been made aware of fake Oxfam recruitment in which applicants are being asked to pay a fee for psychometric testing during the application process.
Oxfam does not ask for payment from applicants for psychometric testing during a bona-fide recruitment process. If you are asked for payment then regretfully, this is likely to be a scam. Please do not submit payment for any recruitment, but please do pass on as many details as you can to us so that we can aim to prevent this happening again in the future by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
In the event of Oxfam being notified of fraudulent activity we will take all necessary steps to prevent it recurring. This includes contacting hosting providers and websites advertising fake jobs where they can be identified. However, we cannot always guarantee to prevent fraudulent advertisements circulating.
Bona-fide job advertisements are advertised on Oxfam’s global websites.
