Nearly 4 million people remain in urgent need in South Sudan following the conflict that broke out in December 2013. Over 2 million people have fled their homes and and sought refuge within South Sudan or in neighboring countries. We have reached more than 480,000 people with life-saving essentials, but we urgently need to reach more.
Since 1997 we have supported the National Association of Small Farmers to help and encourage women to become food producers. They learn environmentally-friendly farming techniques and participate in workshops on economic empowerment and gender-based violence.
