Oxfam and its partners have organized events to commemorate the World Refugee Day in Jordan and Lebanon. In Tabbaneh, Tripoli (Lebanon), we've organized a carnival with our partner Utopia.
The story of a Syrian refugee who begins a new life in Jordan’s Zaatari camp fixing mobile phones and helps fellow refugees print off photos of happier times is the focus of an upcoming documentary film which will be previewed to mark World Refugee Day (June 20th) as part of a joint campaign by Oxfam and the European Commission’s Office for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO).
Today we are facing a regional crisis that warrants our attention. A crisis that impacts within Somali shores and to a country dear to Somalis: Yemen.
Long-term vision and committed funding urgently needed from international community as flow of Syrian refugees continues.
