On Saturday April 16, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador killing hundreds of people, leaving thousands wounded and causing severe damage to infrastructure. In response to floods in Colombia, Oxfam has focused on provision of clean water and sanitation, and hygiene promotion.
By November 2010, Oxfam had provided 600 families with water filters, and donated 94 clean water storage tanks.
