Oxfam reaction to Brazil and Argentina supporting FTT

Publié: 3rd novembre 2011

Oxfam spokesperson Luc Lampriere reacting to President Sarkozy today:

“Amid the clamour in Cannes around the Euro crisis it is a ray of good news that Brazil and Argentina will swing in behind France, Spain and Germany on a financial transaction tax. This is the beginning of the group of leaders we’ve been calling to champion an FTT.”

“Now we now need more countries to sign on and an acknowledgement that the lion’s share of the funds should go to fight poverty and climate change.”
