Published: 3rd December 2021

Oxfam International has accepted the resignation of its Board chair, Dr Jemilah Mahmood, who is leaving in order to focus on a new board role outside the sector. Deputy chair Nisreen Alami will assume the chair while Oxfam pursues a new appointment. Dr Mahmood became chair in July 2021 as part of Oxfam International’s governance restructure. Oxfam is grateful for Dr Mahmood’s service and wishes her success in her new role.
