Oxfam warns of an alarming humanitarian crisis in Eastern DRC as aid groups struggle to respond in the face of funding cuts ripple effects.  

In January alone, billionaire wealth surged by $314 billion ―around $10 billion a day. This is more than the combined wealth of the 2.8 billion people who make up the poorest third of humanity. 

A new Oxfam analysis found that since breaking the ceasefire on March 18, Israel has issued over 30 forced displacement orders.  Combined with deliberate deprivation, this reveals a strategy of dismantling and erasing Gaza itself.

Preventable diseases are sweeping the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Cholera cases increased by 326, Mpox by 269, and measles by 95 people in North Kivu alone, during the last week of February, according to Oxfam’s partners on the ground. 

A dramatic rise in Israeli military violence has caused the largest forced displacement in the West Bank since the illegal Israeli occupation began. As the ‘Gazafication’ of the West Bank unfolds, vital humanitarian work and projects are being delayed or destroyed, Oxfam warned today.  

This week marks one year since dozens of personnel from the UN, INGOs, and diplomatic missions were arbitrarily detained by the Houthi de facto authorities in northern Yemen. We reiterate our urgent demand for their immediate and unconditional release.
