As political leaders gather for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, millionaires from around the world say elected representatives must tackle the existential global crisis posed by extreme wealth, by taxing the super-rich.
Responding to President Trump’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos today, Amitabh Behar, Oxfam's representative at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, said: “Don't be fooled by President Trump's glowing self-review. This was a speech for the billionaires that the President's agenda has propped up at the expense of millions of ordinary Americans."
The discriminatory Executive Order bars Syrian refugees from entering the United States indefinitely, suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days, imposes bans on refugees on the basis of their religion, and blocks citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, refugees or otherwise, from entering the United States for 90 days: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
