Since January 2015 more than 1 million women and men fleeing war, persecution, natural disasters and poverty entered or passed through Greece in search of safety and a better life.  We are working in Athens, Lesvos island and the Epirus region of North-West Greece responding to the urgent needs of people arriving. Oxfam and EU work together to find new ways to fight poverty in Gaza

A new Oxfam project, funded by the by EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid “ECHO”, will help 9000 of Gaza’s most vulnerable people to address the acute humanitarian needs that are the consequences of violations of International Humanitarian Law and human rights in the Gaza Strip.

Moving story of Syrian refugees told through their phones in ‘District Zero’ documentary

The story of a Syrian refugee who begins a new life in Jordan’s Zaatari camp fixing mobile phones and helps fellow refugees print off photos of happier times is the focus of an upcoming documentary film which will be previewed to mark World Refugee Day (June 20th) as part of a joint campaign by Oxfam and the European Commission’s Office for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO).
