Inequality in Europe is on the rise. Cost of living, access to housing, climate change and the negative impacts of AI are amongst the key concerns for many. Meanwhile polarization is increasing, civic space is shrinking, and civil rights, democracy and international solidarity are being undermined by the Far Right.

Oxfam in Europe is an initiative of 11 European Affiliates and Oxfam’s EU office addressing issues affecting Europeans and supporting Europe’s global role in policy, trade, legislation and international development. Our approach is tailored to the European context whilst being strengthened by Oxfam’s global program, advocacy, and research experience.

Across the region we work on diverse and intersectional topics including Civic Space, Gender Justice, Youth, Climate Justice, Migration, Deregulation, Economic Justice, Digital Rights, ODA, International Humanitarian Law and Rights in Crisis.

From our work on national and EU policies, to public campaigns and research, to community support and engagement, Oxfam is working with communities and power holders to tackle the root causes of injustice in Europe.

Oxfam affiliates in Europe are: Oxfam Belgium; Oxfam Denmark; Oxfam France; Oxfam Germany; Oxfam Ireland; Oxfam Italy; Oxfam Novib (Netherlands); Oxfam Intermón (Spain); Kadın Emeğini Değerlendirme Vakfı (KEDV - Foundation for the Support of Women's Work, Türkiye); and Oxfam GB (United Kingdom); Oxfam EU office in Brussels; and the Oxfam Engagement Office in Sweden.
