Oxfam and Palestinian organisations hand world leaders a blueprint for Gaza's recovery that puts Palestinian ownership and accountability for Israel's genocide at its core. 

Israel’s intent to displace around 1 million civilians, half of whom are living in famine, is impossible and illegal Oxfam said today, while the Israeli military continued to flatten Gaza City building by building as its mass forced displacement of civilians in the city gains terrifying momentum.

“Despite warnings in July that famine was imminent, Israel has continued to starve Palestinians."

This decision marks a dangerous escalation in the ongoing illegal occupation of Palestinian territory, a brazen act of erasure carried out in full view.

Water-borne diseases that are both preventable and readily treatable have increased by almost 150% inside Gaza over the past three months.

As the Israeli government’s siege starves the people of Gaza, aid workers are now joining the same food lines, risking being shot just to feed their families.

Oxfam and 240 organisations call for immediate action to end the deadly Israeli distribution scheme (including the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) in Gaza, revert to the existing UN-led coordination mechanisms, and lift the Israeli government’s blockade on aid and commercial supplies. 

Under the new provisions, INGOs already registered in Israel may face de-registration, while new applicants risk rejection.

Restrictions on movement and total siege making aid operations almost impossible.

Israel's decision is a reckless act of collective punishment, explicitly prohibited under international humanitarian law.
