Oxfam's reaction to the publication of false vacancies in Haiti via Facebook

Published: 21st December 2018

A few weeks ago, a fake publication using the name of Oxfam circulated via Facebook to announce 20 vacancies in our offices in Haiti. To access the alleged interviews, the applicants were asked for money.

Oxfam states it has nothing to do with these false calls and we are in the process of reporting to the corresponding authorities this fraudulent act. We have also reported to Facebook this page and several others that have no official link with Oxfam.

We regret that our name has been used for profit and the inconvenience caused to the people who fell into this false recruitment. We reiterate that all the recruitment processes of Oxfam and its affiliated organizations are free, vacancies are open to all the public, and can be consulted through our official website: https://www.oxfam.org/, in the "Jobs" section: https://www.oxfam.org/en/work-oxfam.
