Oxfam GB urged the Government of Sudan to allow it to continue its vital humanitarian efforts, affecting hundreds of thousands of lives.

A second Oxfam relief team has delivered supplies to 2,000 earthquake survivors in Qinghai. In addition, Oxfam will also be helping with public hygiene information campaigns and is flying in 600 tents.

An Oxfam award-winning film challenging the deep-rooted patriarchy in India cannot be screened in the country. The Central Board of Film Certification has refused to certify ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, saying the movie is “lady orientated” and contains “contentious sexual scenes, abusive words [and] audio pornography.”
