Due to the increasing complexity of Venezuela’s political conflict, in the midst of an important social and economic crisis, Oxfam calls on all the actors involved to take the following points into account.

The ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work today has called on governments to commit to a set of measures in order to address the challenges caused by unprecedented transformational change in the world of work.

Billionaire fortunes increased by 12 percent last year – or $2.5 billion a day - while the 3.8 billion people who make up the poorest half of humanity saw their wealth decline by 11 percent, reveals a new report from Oxfam today.

Oxfam responds to the announcement that Jim Kim is stepping down as President of the World Bank from 1st February 2019 before the expiry of his term in 2022.

Oxfam has been forced to suspend its work in the Ebola ravaged areas of Beni and Butembo in Democratic Republic of Congo, due to violent protests following the announcement that people in these areas won’t be able to cast their votes for a new president.
